A man was perfectly shaped to lead a nation. He did not think so, but he had all the characteristics of the person who could lead and save his country.
Unfortunately, he had murdered a man and was a fugitive in a foreign country. He was perfectly happy to lay low and not be found.
However, an authority told him to lead people out of the country from which he fled. He politely declined, loosely quoted as saying, “Who am I to go there and save those people… Don’t you know they want to kill me there!”
After a series of exchanges, though, Moses was convinced that his past sin of murder would not eternally define him. Rather, his “What You Do Next” was accepting the call and famously leading the Israelites out of Egypt. See Exodus 3 & 4.
Is there a tribe we are being called to deliver out of slavery today? Do our hearts break for a particular group of people who need our help? Could that heartbreak be a call?

Let us not forget when reflecting inwardly… or choosing how to outwardly perceive others, it’s not where you’ve been, or where you are now…
It’s What You Do Next.
Bene-action:
Make a WYDN memento to keep with you at all times for a week, and journal if you are being called to something greater.
It’s What You Do Next.
It’s not what you’ve done,
or what you’ve become.
It’s not what you’ve believed,
not what others perceived.
It’s not where you sit,
or who you’re sitting with.
It’s not how far you have fallen
or that you are crawlin’.
It’s simply What You Do Next.
Will you respond to that text,
or let problems sit on your desk?
Break up that toxic chain,
or allow it to control your brain?
Gonna smile,
or let darkness hang for a while?
Face the tough,
or stay distracted by stuff?
It’s your time to define… What You Do Next.
